If you live or work around Kensington High Street, you’ll know the rhythm. Long hours at a desk, a quick lunchtime gym session if you’re lucky, weekend runs in Kensington Gardens or Holland Park. And when something starts to hurt, finding the time to get it sorted can feel impossible.
That’s exactly why we love our Kensington clinic. It’s tucked inside Virgin Active on Old Court Place, so you can fit an appointment around your day and your rehab can happen right there on the gym floor.
Meet Tanvi, our Kensington physio
Tanvi Parikh is a Senior Physiotherapist with an MSc in Musculoskeletal Healthcare and Rehabilitation from UCL. She’s worked in both the NHS and private practice in London and has particular expertise in back and neck pain, scoliosis, chronic pain, shoulder instability and recovery after spinal and joint surgery.
Her approach blends detailed movement assessment, hands-on treatment, rehab exercise and Pilates-based principles, so you get relief in the clinic and the tools to keep improving between sessions.
I want every patient to leave clearer than they arrived, not just about their treatment plan, but about their own body and how to look after it.
Tanvi Parikh, Senior Physiotherapist
02 · Why the gym matters
Why rehab in a gym gets you better faster
Most injuries don’t fully recover with rest and a sheet of exercises. Tendons, muscles and joints get stronger when you load them gradually and progressively. That’s hard to do at home with a resistance band. It’s easy in a fully equipped gym with a physio beside you.
Hands-on first
Treatment in a private room to ease pain and get you moving, with a clear diagnosis and plan.
Onto the gym floor
When you’re ready, Tanvi takes your rehab into the gym, coaching your technique and loading.
Back to your life
A programme you can keep doing, whether you’re a Virgin Active member or train elsewhere.

“I was referred to Tanvi Parekh at Boost Physio by my doctor for chronic tailbone and surrounding muscle pain that I had been struggling with for almost eight years… After dealing with this pain for almost eight years and trying different avenues without much success, seeing this much progress in just a month and a half has been amazing.”
