Get the expert running physiotherapy help you deserve and need now.

What’s Included in our ยฃ99 Marathon Runner Promo 1 hour Session

This isn’t a standard 30-minute physiotherapy appointment (normally ยฃ90). You get a full hour of expert assessment and treatment specifically designed for marathon runners:

โœ… Comprehensive Physical Assessment

โœ… Muscle strength assessment will identify muscle asymmetry between your left and right sidesโ€“ one of the biggest predictors of running injury.

โœ… Muscle length testing will help identify poor movement patterns that increase injury risk.

โœ… Balance testing will identify stride stability and efficiency issues that affect your running economy.

โœ… Hands on individualised treatment or exercise advice.

โœ… Expert help and save yourself ยฃ41

Why Early Intervention Matters

Research consistently shows that early physiotherapy intervention leads to:

โœ… Faster recovery times

โœ… Lower risk of chronic injury

โœ… Better long-term outcomes

โœ… Reduced chance of re-injury

The runners who finish the London Marathon strong are the ones who invested in prevention early. The ones who struggle, or don’t finish, are often those who ignored early warning signs.

A small niggle at week 4 of training is manageable. That same niggle at week 14 can be a race-threatening problem.

Common Issues We Help Marathon Runners With

The most frequent problems we see in marathon training include:

  • Runner’s Knee (Patellofemoral Pain) Pain around or behind the kneecap, especially on longer runs or downhill sections. Often caused by weak hip stabilisers or poor tracking patterns.
  • IT Band Syndrome Pain on the outside of the knee, typically appearing around the same mileage point each run. Usually linked to hip weakness and running mechanics.
  • Achilles Tendinopathy Stiffness or pain in the Achilles tendon, particularly first thing in the morning or at the start of runs. Requires careful load management.
  • Plantar Fasciitis Heel pain that’s worse in the morning or after rest. Common when training volume increases too quickly.
  • Hip Flexor Strain Tightness or pain at the front of the hip, often from weak glutes and overactive hip flexors compensating during running.
  • Shin Splints Pain along the inside of the shin bone, typically from rapid mileage increases or poor foot mechanics.

The key? Addressing these issues NOWโ€”while you still have 16 weeks to fix themโ€”rather than pushing through and hoping they’ll resolve on their own.

Is This Session Right for You?

This marathon injury session is ideal if you’re:

  • Training for the London Marathon (or any spring marathon)
  • Experiencing any pain, tightness, or discomfort during training
  • Recovering from a previous injury and want to ensure you’re truly ready
  • Running pain-free but want to optimise your biomechanics
  • Concerned about a specific weakness or imbalance
  • Looking to prevent injury before it happens

Even if you feel fine right now, a biomechanical assessment can identify subtle issues before they become painful problems. Think of it as an MOT for your running body.
