Heel Pain- Is It Plantar Fasciitis?

What’s causing my heel pain? How do I know if my heel pain is Plantar Fasciitis?  

If you have several of these 8 common symptoms, you may have Plantar Fasciitis.

  1. I have pain underneath my heel when I walk or stand.
  2. I have pain under my heel when I stand up out of bed in the morning.
  3. I get a burning pain under my heel or in the sole of my foot when standing and walking.
  4. Wearing very flat shoes with no heel and no arch support aggravates the pain under my heel.
  5. Shoes with a hard heel aggravate my pain.
  6. When I wear a shoe with a bit of a heel it helps alleviate my pain.
  7. When I wear a shoe with good cushioning and better support it eases my heel pain.
  8. The underside of my heel is very tender to the touch.
